For the past two months, I've been rehearsing with the Texas Renaissance Festival, and I kept saying to myself "NO WAY am I going to survive a single weekend.  I'm too reserved, too heat-sensitive, and I space out too much on a regular basis, not mentioning a place with distractions everywhere!" I am happy to say that I not only played with patrons and evaded heat sickness, I almost (not really) managed to not make myself look like a noobish fool who missed the first day. Back before I got back on Deviantart, I was smugly proud of the artistic skills I learned from Aaron Romo at Oni-Con.  So proud, in fact, that I forgot that I had been essentially neglecting art for nearly a year, and was only just learning the real basics.  Being back on deviantart has really reminded me of just how far I need to go to achieve.  I never considered the importance of shading, coloring, and proportion between multiple characters in an art piece before. I feel a little left behind compared to so many here on devart, but I guess it's due to my previously stubborn will to NOT learn what I needed to at the time.  I'm excited, thou
